With Father’s Day upon us, here are a few helpful tips to make Dad’s day special.
Let Him Choose the Movie
He may be tired of princesses and superheroes. Let him decide on a movie that’s still family friendly, but dad-style. Make a real event of it, with buckets of popcorn, and his favorite movie theater candy and drinks. Dim the lights and enjoy the show.
Pampering for Pop
Everybody enjoys a little pampering. Create a spa experience just for Dad with a basket filled with grooming essentials. Include a new razor with shaving balm, moisturizer and face wipes, and find a candle in a scent he might enjoy—something that smells piney, outdoorsy or smoky, perhaps. Does he need a new pair of slippers? Toss those in, too.
Tournament Time!
Does Dad like outdoor activities? Grab the balls, bats, badminton set or whatever he likes and get ready to play. Set up a family tournament complete with a poster for marking brackets or to keep score. Oh, and let Dad win, of course.
Beer Tasting
Give dad a do-it-yourself beer tasting experience with a selection of craft beers. Make sure to toss in a few of his favorite snacks, like nuts, pretzels or chips.
