Easy Homemade Meatballs

These homemade meatballs are as easy to make as they are delicious. Serve with your favorite pasta sauce or roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1⁄2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1⁄4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1⁄2 cup yellow onion, minced
  • 1⁄4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound 93% lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  • In medium bowl, stir together breadcrumbs and milk. Let sit about 1 minute.
  • Add egg, Parmesan, onion, parsley, salt and pepper; mix well. Mix in beef. Use hands to gently combine.
  • Form mixture into about 1½” balls. Arrange meatballs on baking tray.
  • In large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, add oil. Once hot, add just enough meatballs to fit in pan. Cook about 2 minutes, until deeply browned on bottom.
  • Use tong to carefully turn meatballs. Continue cooking about 10 to 12 minutes, until browned on all sides and cooked through. Place cooked meatballs on serving platter or tray; repeat cooking process with remaining meatballs.
  • Serve and refrigerate leftovers.
